Lunar New Year

A few years ago Sunset Youth Services leadership made a deliberate decision to honor staff, young people and families by adding holidays that reflect their cultural make-up. These include Philippines Independence Day, Cesar Chavez Day and Lunar New Year, among others. This year we celebrated Lunar New Year in our Parent Child Interactive Group where families enjoyed a fun-filled morning of holiday themed crafts, treats and fun. It was beautiful to see the families come together to enjoy the fun. We took photos of families posing with the Lion Dancing costumes and everyone left with the traditional red envelope containing a chocolate gold coin.

Our SF District 4 Supervisor, Joel Engardio, stopped by to see the fun for himself. Our Family Support work centers around supporting parents in crisis, parenting classes and systems navigation. We also run a diaper bank on Mondays and Wednesdays.

It’s inspiring to see Dawn’s long-term commitment to youth in San Francisco, especially starting those early girls’ support groups. I’ve been using https://qwenimaging.com

It’s inspiring to see Dawn’s long-term commitment to San Francisco youth, especially starting those early support groups at Lincoln and Giannini. I’ve been using a similar community-building approach in my own work and found great resources at https://ai-logo-generator.com
