CA, He became Board Chair in 2008. He is currently living in San
Francisco and working in private practice.
His specialty is in working with at-risk
children and adolescents, including
adopted children who haven't attached
well to their new parents. He has
served as a consultant to local foster
and adoption organizations, as well
as to orphanages in Brazil and Guatemala.
Steven

Steve is a San Francisco attorney who concentrates his practice on both commercial and residential real estate transactions and litigation. Before law school he worked at a residential facility providing services to emotionally impaired and at-risk teens. He graduated cum laude from Lewis and Clark Northwestern School of Law in 2001 and earned his undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College. He lives in San Francisco.
Keith Hitchcock, Board Treasurer

Keith has worked in the international logistics industry
for 16 years. He has held various business development, operations, and product management positions in Europe and the
United States. Keith is currently responsible for Transpacific ocean freight product design and customer solutions in the
United States and Canada for Schenker/DB Logistics, an international logistics provider. He is a graduate of the
University of California, Berkeley, and resides in San Francisco with his wife and two children.
Edwin
Weaver
Rev. Edwin Weaver is the senior pastor at Golden Gate Community Church. He, his wife Julie, and three children live in San Francisco. Edwin has a long history working with adolescence and their families. He as a MA from Fuller Theological Seminary, and MSW from UCLA. Edwin has been a school Counselor in East Los Angeles, Los Angeles DCFS Social Worker and case manager, Child Abuse and Neglect Investigator in Virginia, after school program coordinator in Washington DC, as well as a pastor in Southern California, Virginia and Kansas. He loves to read, play outdoors and a great cup of coffee.
Mark Kirchgestner
Director of Church Mobilization, California, International Justice Mission.
Mark has lived in San Francisco since 1990 with his wife and their two children.
Mark was a Young Life Area Director in San Francisco for 8 years working with
youth in the Richmond and Sunset Districts. For seven years Mark was a Pastor
at Golden Gate Community Church. His roles included Children, Youth and Family
Pastor, Parish Pastor and Interim Senior Pastor. In his current position he is
responsible to raise awareness concerning God's heart for justice and to equip the
church for action, advocacy and prayer on behalf of those suffering from oppression.
He is a graduate of Westmont College and received his Masters in Theology from Fuller
Theological Seminary.
Andrew Craig
North American Sales Manager, Neocork Technologies, Inc.
Andrew grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and studied Accounting and Theatre for
his Bachelor of Science. He also received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh
with concentrations in Finance, Marketing, and Operations Management. He worked as a
Sommelier for many years while working his way through school and earned 2nd level Master
Sommelier certificate. After graduate school he worked at Ford Motor Company's agriculture
sector as a financial specialist. While living and working in both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia
he volunteered with inner youth and coached junior basketball. He moved out to San Francisco
over ten years ago and has worked in the wine industry as buyer, seller, and winery supply.
As the Sales manager he markets, sells, and travels to the United States and Canada. Currently
he resides in the Glen Park area in San Francisco.
Kelly Costa
Kelly Costa has worked a consultant in the sustainability and social
enterprise sector for more than 15 years, most recently codirecting the
Natural Capital Institute , a nonprofit organization that studies and
disseminate practices leading to social justice and environmental
restoration , and creates tools for connecting the people that are
transforming the world. She brings years of communications, operations, and
fundraising experience to SYS, holding an MA in Geography and
Human-Environmental Studies, and a BS in Graphic Communications. She, her
husband, and her two daughters live in San Francisco.
Alissa Peterson
Associate Physician, San Francisco General Hospital
Alissa is a California native who moved to San Francisco in 1999. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree from UCLA and an MD from UCSF. She specializes in psychiatry with a particular interest in the chronically mentally ill and forensic psychiatry. Alissa currently works at San Francisco General Hospital on their inpatient psychiatric jail ward and in private practice. She lives with her husband and dog in San Francisco.

Dawn is a co-founder and the Executive
Director of Sunset Youth Services.
For the past 16 years she has worked
with youth in different programs and
contexts. Dawn pioneered Girls Services
in the Sunset by starting Campus Based
Girls Support Groups at Lincoln High
School and A.P. Giannini Middle School.
Her passion for youth and her community
is the driving force behind everything
she does. Dawn worked as a Community
Organizer in the Sunset district through
Neighborhoods In Transition-A Multi-Cultural
Partnership (NIT-AMP) from 1993-1996.
During this time she started the Sunset
District Neighborhood Coalition and
the Sunset Community Festival. Dawn
and her family have lived in the Sunset
District for 16 years.
